I'm a quest designer currently in my third year at Breda University of Applied Sciences, finishing my bachelor's in Creative Media & Game Technologies. I've been making games for around 3 years now, and somewhere along the way, quest design became the thing I knew was meant for me. It's where narrative, mechanics and player fantasy all meet, and I love being the one who gets to tie those pieces together into an experience someone will carry with them forever.
Outside of that, I'm someone who likes to leave a piece of myself in everything I do and uses these experiences to understand myself even better. Writing, making music, or even getting lost in a long forest walk, they are all a way to express what's going on inside me and stay in touch with the world around me. My best ideas rarely show up when I'm staring at a screen. Instead they appear when I'm taking the time to do something different, or when I've just noticed something captivating, whether in nature, a building or in a person.
That's the part of me that ends up in my work too: a quest I design isn't just a checklist of objectives, it's a small world I want someone else to feel and experience, but most of all to remember.
Here you can see the skills I have already unlocked on my journey and the ones I am still working on.
